Finally. ******************************* Without Hearts or Flowers by salliejohns Instead of resting, her mind races with images and sensations too insistent to ignore, too astounding to suppress. She's not a "hearts and flowers" kind of woman; he isn't a "declarations of undying love" guy. They had come together in a way that was both surprising and expected, remarkable and comfortable. Theirs was a love unspoken and yet undeniable--unlikely, but perfectly, completely right. Once consummated, it was earth shattering in its intensity. And so, sleep will not claim her tonight, though she is physically and emotionally spent. She lies, listening to the sound of his calm, even breathing, and remembers breath coming in hot, shuddering gasps as he pushed inside her for the first time. She remembers warm, soft lips and gazing into eyes that spoke of love, fierce and eternal--passion so intense it brands her soul. There will be time for sleep, but now is for categorizing memories to last a lifetime. fin
